Description
While shooting a spectacular sunset at a nearby park, I noticed this tree reflected in a small pond. After nothing more than enhancing the existing colors in Topaz and rotating it 180 degrees, it became a surreal portrait of a lonely tree in front of a glowing amber hill, weighed down by the deep blue sky, at least in my imagination. It brings to mind one of my favorite jazz pieces, Duke Ellington's "Mood Indigo." What does it invoke to you?
...
"Always get that mood indigo,
Since my baby said goodbye.
In the evenin' when lights are low,
I'm so lonesome I could cry."
