Said the terrified snail to the pillbugs as it fled the floodwaters that had swept it from its home. I captured this dramatic scene as I scanned flotsam near the banks of a usually serene creek that had overflowed its banks in a sudden severe thunderstorm today. I could sense the sheer panic in the frightened eyes of the miserable mollusc, so I snatched the twig and its precious escargot, and air evacuated it to safety on solid ground. All puns intended.
