Digitally altered photograph of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in New Waverly, Texas, stands with evening clouds as a backdrop. The church was founded by Polish immigrants in 1860, but the first church building was built in 1870. The current, larger church was dedicated in 1906, considered by the Bishop of Galveston to be the finest church in the South. The building cost $13,000 with out the art glass windows and altars.
