Description
This abstract photo resembles a sp;iral galaxy such as the Pinwheel Galaxy, M101, being composed of an uncountable number of individual points of light. It is one of several long exposure shots I created in camera, using my 8mm fisheye lens and a huge rolled-up string of multi-colored Christmas lights in my house, before I pack them away in the attic for a year. All are straight out of the camera (SOOC) except for noise reduction, and some were slightly cropped.

Gary Holmes, photographer: I am an opportunist photographer of nature, landscapes, abstract, and other found objects of interest. I prefer to capture the spontaneity of things and events as they are occurring, and rarely photograph staged subjects other than portraits. Although I have been a photographer for decades, I continue to study and learn the craft. Long ago, I embraced the hugely expanded opportunities offered by digital photography, but I have only been posting them online since September 2012. As a result, I have now successfully sold several of my works. I will continue to post my very best works on FAA and other sites every day or two, as time permits. Please revisit my sites periodically. I welcome your votes, support and gently constructive criticism or suggestions, all of which help guide me in my photographic odyssey. Nothing makes me happier as a photographer than knowing someone likes one of my works so much that they purchased one.
