A flotilla of about 70 hot air balloons drift southward over the crowd from their launch sites at the Balloon Fiesta Park, during the morning mass ascension on October 6, 2013, during the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta. The morning sun highlights their multiple colors and shapes, including the massive Wells Fargo stagecoach balloon. Over 500 hot air balloons participated in the 2013 Balloon Fiesta, most of which had already drifted over the horizon when this was captured. 8x10 horizontal format photograph.

I started with a Kodak Brownie as a child, but entered the world of real photography with a Canon AE-1 in the late 1970's.
