A more recognizable Impressionist take on the Congress Avenue-Cesar Chavez Street intersection from across Town Lake. I'm discovering with ICM photography that your choice of which base photos go into the blend greatly determines the outcome of the blending process. This is my favorite so far. It reminds me of the old French Impressionist paintings of Paris, yet it is entirely photographic. Colors were not altered, but shadows were brightened and contrast enhanced.
Gary Holmes, photographer: I have always loved to photograph nature, landscapes, abstract, and other found objects of interest. I prefer the challenge of trying to capture the unpredictable spontaneity of things and events as they are occurring. I started with a Kodak Brownie as a child, but entered the world of real photography with a Canon AE-1 in the late 1970's. I have successfully sold a number of my photographs on Fine Art America, and have been recognized in international photography venues. Poster sized prints of three of my photographs were recently installed in a new medical clinic building in a major Texas medical center. My photo, "Blue Norther," was selected by the nonprofit Texas Bluebird Society for its 2010...
