At first glance, this pair of Lesser Yellowlegs (Tringa flavipes) appears to have no legs as they blend in with surrounding waterplant stems near Galveston, Texas

Gary Holmes, photographer: I have always loved to photograph nature, landscapes, abstract, and other found objects of interest. I prefer the challenge of trying to capture the unpredictable spontaneity of things and events as they are occurring.
