Description
The original log cabin of John and Bartha Moulton stands just behind the larger stucco house they built to replace it, backed by beautiful beams of sunlight and the partially obscured Teton range, on Mormon Row in the Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming. This wonderful scenery belies the hard job of making a living off of the land in the early 20th Century. I found a first-hand description of living on this property at .

Gary Holmes, photographer: I have always loved to photograph nature, landscapes, abstract, and other found objects of interest. Although I have staged single and group portraits and still life photographs, I prefer the challenge of trying to capture the unpredictable spontaneity of things and events as they are occurring. I started with a Kodak Brownie as a child, but entered the world of real photography with a Canon AE-1 in the late 1970's. I have continued to develop my compositional and post-processing skills and have slowly acquired higher quality equipment that is now capable of putting those skills to their best use. I finally became confident enough to begin posting my work online in September 2012, and have successfully sold a number of my photographs on Fine Art America.

Thank you very much, Dawn. We arrived at this photographer's mecca at just the right time for the sunlight through the clouds.
