Description
While setting up to photograph a family of ducks, I was repeatedly buzzed by a female black-chinned hummingbird (Archilochus alexandri). After a bit of searching, we located her on this miniscule nest, about three feet from the trail. The nest measures a little more than 2 inches wide. East Inlet Creek trail, near Grand Lake, Colorado.
